Connection Guide For Turntable

December 18, 2017

How do we connect our turntable?

Here are some basic guide for new users and existing users if you wish to upgrade your system.

1. Turntable (Recommended Connection)

2. Turntable inbuilt Phono Stage Connection

3. Turntable Stereo Amp Connection

4. Turntable Active Speaker Connection

1. Turntables (Recommended Connection)**

A basic setup for a turntable, in this diagram show a external phono stage  is connected to turntable thereafter output to pre amp (pre amp usually have more inputs), power amp to passive speaker.

Fundamentally, passive speakers require a separate amplifier (or amplifiers), active speakers do not. With an active speaker, the amplifier is built into the speaker cabinet, so you can plug line-level signals straight from your mixer into the speaker.

**Why do we recommend this connection?

Every component has it own functionality, we believe separate power source will work better, at it's 100% capability. Integrated components share the same power source might decrease the efficiency and effectiveness of delivering the full potential in the system.

2. Turntable inbuilt Phono Stage

You do not need to have external phono stage. You can directly connect it to pre &  power amp and to passive speaker.

3. Turntable Stereo Amp Connection

Integrate pre & power amp together (Stereo).

An integrated amplifier (pre/main amp) is an electronic device containing an audio preamplifier and power amplifier in one unit, as opposed to separating the two.

Most modern audio amplifiers are integrated and have several inputs for devices such as CD players, DVD players, and auxiliary sources.

4. Turntable Active Speaker Connection

Powered speakers, also known as self-powered speakers and active speakers, are loudspeakers that have built-in amplifiers. They can be connected directly to a mixing console or other low-level audio signal source without the need for an external amplifier.
